My experiences in working in db Bistro Moderne restaurant for four and a half months have inspired me to maintain consistency in product at all times, not wavering my standards at any cost. Working there has made a remarkable impact in my culinary studies, which developed my patience, character, and positive attitude toward my work performance.
The staff in the restaurant are very open in terms of letting the people that they work with if they need help. Asking for help when one has so much tasks to accomplish is not looked down upon in the restaurant. Honesty is encouraged in order to foster a working environment where the needs of everyone are satisfied. I for one kept an open and honest relationship with my co workers and supervisors. I was able to let my co workers know if I had some questions about my work especially when I was just starting. I would ask for confirmation from my co workers who were more experienced whether my job output is according to the standards of the restaurant. The criticisms that were given to me allowed me to work on areas that needed improvement and at the same time provided affirmation in the areas that I were doing good at.
I most certainly envision myself working in db Bistro after I graduate from the CIA and be able to grow in my career as a chef.
