Since a lot of people are caught up on the topic of communication i figured I'd just expand on the topic through personal experience.

As I mentioned in class, the executive chef at my internship site was a communication nightmare. He is a 60 year old Harley owner who had previously been executive chef and has worked at Hotel Hershey for over 35 years, but his ides became nearly outdated and new people were anxious to take the position. Even before his fall from the throne down to exec. sous chef, he expected every employee to know the ups and downs of every aspect in the hotel including methods, recipes, procedures, and even random facts. If you were new, he didn't cut you slack. If you didn't know what he was talking about it, he made no effort to change his ways of conveying the message, he just said the same thing except louder.

My only comment towards people like this is that they will never please their subordinates with such a narrow personality. I hope to use his lack of people skills as an opportunity to realize how NOT to act in the future.

THATS ALL FOLKS
